For Sale – 42 ft Maple Leaf Sailboat

Sailing around Vancouver Canada

Make all your dreams come true and sail away on Escondida.

She is a great boat and has sailed to many wonderful destinations such as Desolation Sound, Broughten Islands, Ocean Falls and all around the Vancouver Islands.

The current Captains dreamt of one day sailing to Mexico.

However, due to their age and slowing down they decided it better to just fly haha… They have made the difficult decision to put this dream to rest and sell.

Sailing Under the Captains Control

Escondida was moored in Semiahmoo Marina for a few years to enjoy easy trips on the U.S. side of the border, but she is currently moored back in Vancouver Canada, her home and Native land!

The current captains have    enjoyed taking many weekend and month long trips with Escondida and often dropped anchor around False Creek during long weekends so the kids could easily go visit.

They loved being on board nestled in Vancouver city, hanging out on Granville Island, listening to the Jazz Festival and watching the fireworks too.

Escondida Waiting to Set Sail

Escondida has a cruising speed of 8 knots and is powered by a new 43 HP Beta Marine engine that was just installed in 2013 and now only has 197 hours on it. She runs great!

All the maps, charts and tools you need come with the sale of this boat for you to jump on board and sail off into the sunset.

The cabin is comfortable for eating and sleeping and taking a break from the weather.

All of the cushions have been reupholstered by the capitana who has also done a marvelous job of giving the boat a real welcoming and home feeling.

The Yellow Maple Leaf Sail

The current owners have had Escondida since 2005 and have babied her with love and all the necessary maintenance.

Including taking her out on the hard at least once a year to pressure wash and paint the hull with anti-foul paint.
